First Impressions

There is nothing that has a greater impact on loyalty than the impression that a customer forms during their first interaction with your brand. Whether it's the first ad they see, their first visit to your store, or the first time they see your product in use, it is a defining moment.

As marketers, we must always be aware that these first impressions are being formed every second at every touchpoint. Making sure that these experiences are not only positive, but memorable, must be our continual goal.

But these first impressions should also be invitations - not only to make an initial purchase, but to have an ongoing relationship with your brand. Are you creating invitations or simply interactions? Have you set the stage for an ongoing dialogue? Have you invited them to return? Have you given them something to anticipate and come back for?

As you ponder the questions in this inaugural post, let me extend to you an invitation to visit this site as often as you like to gather new ideas and share some of your own. And, if you'd like to talk about specific ideas for helping your business grow, drop me an email. I look forward to having you join us for some great online conversations!
